Vista privacy.

Effective September 24, 2026. This policy covers the Vista macOS app from Delancey Labs LLC.

Vista opens movie files you choose on your Mac. It does not upload your movies, audio, file names, or viewing history to us. This version has no account, advertising, analytics SDK, or in-app network service.

Data on your Mac

Vista saves preferences and per-file playback settings locally. These may include format choices, viewing direction, resume position, recent-file information, and security-scoped bookmarks needed to reopen files you selected. Vista reads selected movies but does not change them. Your Mac's backup or sync settings may copy local app data as part of your own device backups; Vista does not operate such a service.

Control and diagnostics

You can clear the recent-file list from Vista and restore preferences or clear the detection cache in Settings. Vista can copy a diagnostics report to your clipboard. That report omits movie names, full paths, bookmarks, video frames, and audio. It is not sent to us unless you choose to share it.

Support correspondence

If you email us for support, we receive the email address and information you decide to send, and use it to respond to your request. Please do not send private movies or sensitive information unless necessary. You can request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing us.
